Vancouver: April 27, ’26

First visit of the first day of the Quebec Government Office in Vancouver At Little Mountain Cohousing, a co-housing project that took about 10 years to come to fruition. 25 condos over 6 floors in the heart of the city, 54 people (singles, families) live there. Consensus is used to manage the day-to-day with applications like Slack and Gather to coordinate community life and administrative or social events. Cohabitants eat together 3 times a week (voluntary basis) in the «Common House». Very well organized and an atmosphere where you feel all the benefits of living together.

Second visit this time to Cranberry Commons Cohousing located in the Burnaby neighborhood of Vancouver. One of the first Cohousing projects built 25 years ago, with 30 condos and several common areas, including a woodworking shop where you need training before getting the key, for security reasons! The architecture is rustic, giving this co-habitat in an urban setting a rural feel. The vegetation was lush as May approached. We were invited to the Monday evening Potluck, well-attended by residents. And so many places! Thanks to Ronaye from CCN who organized our visit.
