Our internal regulations provide for two categories of members, and depending on the desired level of involvement, a person can register to become a supporting member or a user member.
Anyone interested in Cohabitat Village VITAL and wishing to be part of it without necessarily wanting to live there.
How to join
The main prerequisite for becoming a support member is an interest in the project or the support you can bring through your professional expertise. Simply apply via the Contact form briefly stating what motivates you to want to join and a form will be sent to you; a supporting member commits to purchasing five preferred shares at a rate of 10$ per share.
A member is a person aged 55 and over wishing to live in a Village Vital. This member will adhere to the values of cohousing, which include sharing (solidarity). The current members hold 25 shares.
Please note: we are working with ardor and enthusiasm to bring our projects to fruition; however, it will be necessary to take into account that each one takes time and thatNo housing is available at the moment. We hope to occupy the first VITAL Village in 2028. As a user member, you will be part of the evolution of the projects and thus better informed about timelines and deadlines.
How to join
This membership involves several steps, the first of which is to send an email via the Contact form, briefly state the reasons that motivate your desire to live in a Cohabitat VITAL Village. You can also highlight in which RCM you would like to live (you will need to take into account the timeline – see the information below).
We welcome anyone 55 years and older who adheres to our values and wishes to contribute to the cooperative, regardless of their place of residence. As our project is developing in the Lanaudière region, we encourage memberships from residents of this region.
For your information (only), here's a brief update on our development phases regarding the VITAL Village project in the Lanaudière RCMs.

The board of directors is currently working on drafting a Member Agreement in which the values will be stated. A person interested in becoming a user member will be contacted later as soon as this contract is ready. But already, our three main values are RESPECT, KINDNESS, and SOLIDARITY. Maintaining autonomy is also an integral part of our mission.
